A web browser is application software that runs primarily on users computers and hand held devices. A web browser is used to retrieve and display web pages and other content that can be accessed on the World Wide Web.
Web browsers are also used to access intranets and private networks.
Popular web browsers are Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari.
