A social network site is designed to build online communities of people who share similar interests, activities or know each other.
Social network sites are web-based and provide various ways for users to interact, such as chat, messaging, email, video, voice chat and file sharing. They allow people to share opinions, insights experiences and perspectives, such as music fans on MySpace, business contacts on LinkedIn, or school friends on Facebook.
