Server Logs
A server log is a text file that is automatically created by a web server. A server log contains information about the actions performed by the server including requests for pages, user's IP addresses and unsuccessful actions. Most information that is logged includes date and time information.
Server log files are useful to a website owner as they can be analysed to give the history of traffic to the website.
